Zurab Pataradze Inspects Planned and Ongoing Infrastructure Projects in Ajara Highlands

Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, inspected planned and ongoing infrastructure projects in the Ajara highlands.

The Khulo-Zarzma road project is in its final stage of construction. Alongside this project, several large-scale infrastructure initiatives are planned in Goderdzi Resort.

Tsotne Ananidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara; Anzor Bolkvadze, Member of the Parliament of Georgia; Ednar Nataridze, Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara; Vakhtang Beridze, Mayor of Khulo Municipality; as well as representatives of the Government of Ajara, the Supreme Council of Ajara, and local self-government bodies, also attended the site visit.

According to the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, these projects will significantly improve transportation accessibility in the region, contribute to tourism development, and increase the resort’s attractiveness for investors.

The planning and implementation of important infrastructure projects are underway in Goderdzi Resort. The new initiatives will contribute to the resort’s development, improve service quality, and attract new investments.

As Zurab Pataradze noted, during the visit they met with construction workers and employees, discussed existing challenges and needs, and outlined future steps that will contribute to the further development of the resort.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia is financing the Khulo-Zarzma road project. A 41-kilometer section of the 47-kilometer road has already been asphalted. At this stage, construction of waiting areas, retaining walls, slope stabilization works in landslide-prone areas, and drilling operations are underway.

During the visit, the Chairman was also briefed on planned projects for Goderdzi Resort. The construction of a modern standard auto station, a multifunctional fair and exhibition space, and a specialized storage facility for snow removal equipment are planned.

The ongoing projects in the Ajara highlands will contribute to the year-round development of Goderdzi Resort, strengthen the region’s economic and tourism potential, and create new opportunities for further growth.
