Zurab Pataradze Inspects Municipal Transport and Social Projects in Kobuleti Municipality

Irakli Tsetskhladze, Mayor of Kobuleti Municipality, introduced Chairman of the Government of Ajara Zurab Pataradze to the renewed bus fleet of the Kobuleti Municipal Transport and Sanitation Service. The Mayor also briefed the Chairman on the construction progress of the social housing project.

The Chairman noted that such projects are particularly important for the development of the municipality and for improving living and social conditions for the population.

Zurab Pataradze spoke with representatives of the municipal transport service and expressed interest in new bus routes and flexible scheduling. At this stage, five buses are already operating, while the remaining three buses are expected to begin service later today.

‘The renewed municipal bus fleet will significantly improve transportation for the population both in urban and rural areas. Our key priority is to ensure safe, comfortable, and accessible transportation for residents of every municipality and village. Work in this direction will continue in the future as well,’ said Zurab Pataradze.

The vehicle fleet of the Kobuleti Sanitation Service has also been renewed. A total of 566,200 GEL was allocated for the purchase of new specialized equipment. An additional dump truck will be added to the fleet in the near future.

The Chairman of the Government also inspected the ongoing construction of the social housing project in Kobuleti Municipality. According to Zurab Pataradze, supporting eco-migrant families remains one of the Government’s key priorities.

‘It is encouraging that the construction of the Kobuleti Social House is actively progressing. A total of 126 eco-migrant families will receive modern residential apartments. The project, which is valued at 25 million GEL, once again demonstrates the special importance that both the central government and the Government of Ajara attach to improving the well-being of the population. I am confident that projects of this kind will contribute significantly to supporting eco-migrant families and addressing existing social challenges,’ the Chairman said.

Together with the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Tsotne Ananidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara; Gia Khkhonia, Member of the Parliament of Georgia; and representatives of the Government of Ajara also attended the site visit.
