Zurab Pataradze inspects construction of a social housing project

Construction of a social housing complex is underway in Khelvachauri Municipality.

Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, together with Nino Nizharadze, Minister of Health and Social Care of Ajara, inspected the ongoing construction of the social housing project in the village of Salibauri.

“Social welfare remains one of the Government’s key priorities. Today, we reviewed the progress of the social housing project in Salibauri. A total of GEL 17 million has been allocated for this project. The residential complex is being built in accordance with modern standards and will include recreational areas, a football pitch and children’s playgrounds. This is a very important project that once again demonstrates our commitment to improving people’s living conditions and ensuring a dignified environment for every family,” Zurab Pataradze said.

The project envisages the construction of a 114-apartment social housing complex. The apartments will be allocated to 65 families currently living in the former tea factory residential building, as well as to families with eco-migrant status.

Construction is progressing actively and the project is scheduled for completion in 2028.

Representatives of the Government of Ajara, Khelvachauri Municipality City Hall and the Municipal Council also attended the site visit.
