Zurab Pataradze holds a working meeting with members of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, met with İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting was held as part of the Chairman’s official visit to the Republic of Türkiye.
Particular attention was paid to further strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye. According to Zurab Pataradze, it is important to fully utilize the region’s potential in terms of cargo turnover, transit connectivity and logistics.
“Bursa is one of Türkiye’s leading industrial and manufacturing centers. During the meeting, we discussed expanding business cooperation, establishing new partnerships and encouraging direct business contacts. Particular attention was paid to the development of MICE tourism by promoting Ajara as a destination for international business forums and conferences. We also discussed opportunities for developing cultural tourism. It is encouraging that many business representatives have expressed interest in our region and its transit potential. I am confident that these meetings will pave the way for new initiatives and successful cooperation,” Zurab Pataradze said.
The meeting also highlighted the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of strengthening regional economic partnerships.
The meeting was attended by Archil Kalandia, Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye; Aleksandre Jishkariani, Consul General of Georgia in Istanbul; Eliso Bolkvadze, Minister of Culture of Ajara; Giorgi Chkonia, Head of the Georgia–Türkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group and Member of the Parliament of Georgia; Faruk Çelik, Chairman of the Türkiye–Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group; Şahin Biba, Acting Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality; and members of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
