Zurab Pataradze holds a working meeting in Shuakhevi Municipality

The Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, held a working meeting in Shuakhevi Municipality, which was attended by representatives of regional government structures, along with local self-government, city hall and city council officials.

At the meeting, Zurab Pataradze noted that for the systemic development of the region, along with the city, it is necessary to strengthen high-mountain municipalities; therefore, during field visits, representatives of all government departments will be maximally involved in the process of responding to issues in a coordinated manner, making further activities more effective;  According to him, a number of projects are planned to be implemented with the government's support and direct involvement to improve the quality of life in rural areas, and the Ajara government's efforts will ensure that all levels of the region's executive and legislative structures are equally involved in these processes.

‘I am pleased that the speed of development in the Ajara highlands is increasing year after year. This process is unimaginable without strong collaboration among the government, municipalities, and society. Our strategic goal is to develop our region, and the role of the Ajara highlands in this process is crucial.

The trust expressed by the population is a great responsibility for us. We have ambitious plans that include both the city and the mountains. We are also aware of the existing infrastructure challenges. Our goal is to bring prosperity to every family - every village should have a well-maintained road, gas, water and internet. This is not just a promise, this is a concrete task, for the implementation of which we have full resources,’ said Zurab Pataradze.

According to the Chairman, strengthening the mountains and strengthening the people in rural areas is one of the main priorities for the development of the region, and maximum efforts will be made to achieve this goal.
