Zurab Pataradze Discusses Preparations for the Georgian Youth Olympic Festival with the President of the Georgian National Olympic Committee

Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, met with Leri Khabelov, President of the Georgian National Olympic Committee, and Elguja Berishvili, Vice President of the Committee.

The parties discussed organizational matters and ongoing preparations for the Georgian Youth Olympic Festival, which will be held in Batumi from June 2 to June 6.

According to Zurab Pataradze, Batumi has the capacity and experience to successfully host sporting events of this scale. He noted that the Youth Olympic Festival will contribute to the development of sports in the region, promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, and support the growth of sports tourism.

The Georgian Youth Olympic Festival is a nationwide multi-sport event for young athletes organized by the Georgian National Olympic Committee with the support of the Government of Georgia.

Competitions will be held in 17 different sports. The festival aims to promote sports among young people, identify talented athletes, encourage the active involvement of regions, discover future Olympians, and foster a healthy lifestyle.

The festival is supported by the Ministry of Sports of Georgia, the Government of Ajara, the Ministry of Education and Sports of Ajara, and Batumi City Hall.
