In his address, the Chairman of the Government emphasized that the Petra Fortress represents an invaluable asset to the nation’s history and cultural heritage, underscoring that its protection and preservation for future generations remain a paramount government priority.
"Preserving our cultural heritage, identity, and traditions is among the core priorities of the government," stated Zurab Pataradze. "For centuries, the Petra Fortress served as a crossroads for diverse civilizations and stood as a vital outpost for national defense and security. It is our responsibility to pass this legacy, alongside a profound love for our homeland, onto future generations.
