The closing event of the "Khelvachauri Days" festival took place at the Gonio Fortress. Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, attended the event accompanied by his wife.

Zurab Pataradze congratulated the residents on the occasion and noted the importance of developing the municipality's potential and creating new opportunities for the local population. "Along with other significant public celebrations, 'Khelvachauri Days' showcases the cultural diversity of our region. It represents a bond of love and tradition. It is gratifying that this joy is shared not just by a single municipality, but by the entire region. I extend my special regards and congratulations to the people of Khelvachauri on this day, wishing them prosperity and success. The infrastructure projects currently underway in the municipality aim to improve living conditions for the local population and enhance tourism potential.

It is symbolic that we are gathered today at Gonio Fortress, a site that brings our centuries-old history to life and lends a special atmosphere to this celebration," stated Zurab Pataradze.

As part of the festivities, an awards ceremony was held to honor "Honorary Citizens of Khelvachauri." Zurab Pataradze presented awards to Murman Gorgoshadze and Nodar Kopinadze in recognition of their contributions to the fields of education and public service. Archil Beridze (Parliamentary delegate for Batumi and Khelvachauri), Mindia Diasamidze (delegate for Khelvachauri in the Supreme Council of Ajara), Zaza Diasamidze (Mayor of Khelvachauri Municipality), and Archil Mkheidze (Chairman of the Municipal Council) congratulated the public on the occasion.

"Khelvachauri Days" brings together the municipality's public festivals "Kolkhoba" and "Machakhloba" and aims to promote local cultural traditions. The celebration concluded with a concert featuring local folk and dance ensembles as well as invited performers.

The event was attended by members of the Government and Supreme Council of Ajara, local government officials, and invited guests.
