Zurab Pataradze Awards Honorary Citizens of Kobuleti
An award ceremony honoring distinguished residents of Kobuleti was held at the Petra Fortress Archaeological and Architectural Complex in Kobuleti Municipality.
Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, attended the event together with Tsotne Ananidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara, and representatives of the Government.
The Mayor of Kobuleti Municipality, Irakli Tsetskhladze, welcomed the guests. Zurab Pataradze and Tsotne Ananidze addressed the audience during the ceremony.
Zurab Pataradze thanked the award recipients for their many years of dedicated service and their contribution to the development of Kobuleti Municipality. He noted that recognizing outstanding individuals and preserving their legacy for future generations is one of the Government’s important responsibilities.
‘We have established a tradition of honoring distinguished citizens in all six municipalities of Ajara. Being from Kobuleti is a source of pride and special value. It is gratifying that today representatives of three generations gathered to celebrate the people whose work and dedication have contributed to the development of Kobuleti.
I am confident that this tradition will continue to provide us with an opportunity to express our gratitude to those who enrich our municipalities through their achievements, professionalism, and exemplary lives,’ said Zurab Pataradze.
During the ceremony, the Chairman personally presented honorary citizen awards to several distinguished individuals, including athlete Irakli Turmanidze and cardiologist Besik Kakaladze.
In total, five outstanding individuals were awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Kobuleti.
