The 14th International Exhibition of Agro-Food Products and Technologies, "AGRO BATUMI 2026," has officially commenced in Batumi.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, alongside the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara, Tsotne Ananidze. Senior representatives from the Government of Ajara, the Supreme Council, and local self-government bodies were also present.
Addressing the participants, the Chairman of the Government emphasized the vital role such high-profile events play in advancing the region's agro-food sector.
"AGRO BATUMI serves as a significant business platform for the region, contributing to the strengthening of local production and the promotion of our agricultural output. The exhibition provides local producers with an exceptional opportunity to showcase their goods to a broader audience, exchange expertise, establish valuable business networks, and expand their prospects for entering international markets. Our overarching goal is to facilitate the implementation of modern technologies, elevate product quality, and unlock new opportunities within the agri-food sector," stated Zurab Pataradze.
The international exhibition features a diverse array of local and foreign companies specializing in agriculture, food and beverages, viticulture, processing industries, agricultural technologies, and agribusiness.
Over the course of the two-day event, participating companies will present their products and services to potential buyers, investors, and industry professionals while exploring innovative agricultural solutions.
The event is organized by "Geonet Expo" with the official support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara. The opening was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps, business community leaders, and invited dignitaries.
