Zurab Pataradze Attends Evening Dedicated to Nona Gaprindashvili’s 85th Anniversary

An evening dedicated to the 85th anniversary of legendary Georgian chess player Nona Gaprindashvili was held at the Rustaveli National Theatre.

Mikheil Kavelashvili, President of Georgia; Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia; and representatives of the Government attended the event. Zurab Pataradze attended the anniversary evening together with his spouse.

Shalva Gogoladze, Minister of Sports of Georgia, awarded the legendary Georgian chess player the highest sports award – the Giorgi Nikoladze Award – for her outstanding contribution to the development of Georgian sports. Nona Gaprindashvili became the first recipient of this award.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Sports of Georgia.
