Zurab Pataradze Attends Ceremony Dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day in Tbilisi
Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, attended the ceremony dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day held at Freedom Square in Tbilisi.
Representatives of Georgia’s executive and legislative authorities, the Georgian Orthodox Church, and members of the diplomatic corps attended the event marking Independence Day.
A key part of the ceremonial programme was the swearing-in ceremony of conscripts joining the National Military Service. Notably, this year the military oath was taken simultaneously at 12 historical sites across the country, in addition to the main ceremony held in the capital.
This year’s Independence Day events were dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of Christianity being declared the state religion of Georgia and were held under the concept: 'For 1700 Years, Faith Has Strengthened Us - Love Unites Us.'
