A working meeting dedicated to the development of the Goderdzi resort was held in the Khulo Municipality. Led by Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, the session was attended by members of the Parliament of Georgia, representatives from the Government and Supreme Council of Ajara, as well as officials from relevant agencies and local self-government bodies. Following the meeting, government officials inspected the ongoing construction and infrastructure projects across the resort.
The Chairman of the Government emphasized that the timely and high-quality execution of infrastructure projects is paramount to the development of the Goderdzi resort, ensuring its full readiness for the upcoming winter season.
"Development works at the Goderdzi resort are progressing across several areas. In the coming days, construction will commence on the road connecting the resort entrance to the central zone. Furthermore, essential facilities will be established to enhance service delivery. Relevant departments have been issued specific directives, with a particular emphasis on maintaining high-quality workmanship and strictly adhering to deadlines."
"The resort possesses immense potential. Our objective is to fully leverage these opportunities and transform it into an even more attractive tourist destination," Zurab Pataradze stated.
The meeting focused heavily on the systematic implementation of projects outlined in the resort's master plan. It was noted that the Government of Ajara is committed to fostering a business-friendly environment, promoting the construction of new hotel complexes, and developing tourism infrastructure. These initiatives are expected to significantly support local entrepreneurship and stimulate economic growth in the region.
Earlier that day, the Head of Government also inspected other ongoing and planned infrastructure developments on-site. Construction is currently underway for a modern bus terminal, a multifunctional market and exhibition complex, and a dedicated hangar for snow-grooming machinery.
