The Economic Council Convenes under the Leadership of Zurab Pataradze

The Economic Council of Ajara held its regular session at the Government Administration. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, and focused on key strategic priorities for the region's economic advancement.

During the session, council members thoroughly deliberated on six agenda items. The discussions primarily centered on addressing current challenges within the private sector, refining mechanisms to attract high-value foreign direct investment, and optimizing state support frameworks for local businesses.

The Chairman emphasized that global and domestic interest in Ajara’s investment climate is experiencing steady growth. He underscored that robust public support for the private sector and the continuous diversification of commercial opportunities serve as critical prerequisites for achieving sustainable, long-term economic development.

Furthermore, the council highlighted the strategic importance of the recently concluded investment and business forum held at the Goderdzi resort. Participants noted that hosting high-level economic events in Ajara’s highlands provides an essential stimulus for accelerating infrastructural development and unlocking the vast, untapped investment potential of the mountainous sub-regions.
