The Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, held a working meeting with the heads of the Keda Municipality City Hall and City Council. The Chairman of the Government also inspected the ongoing infrastructure projects in the municipality.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Government stated that all key projects addressing the requirements of the local population will be implemented in stages. According to him, a careful and responsible approach to the situation will continue in order to fully justify the population's trust and expectations.
‘The key concerns being addressed on a daily basis include strengthening high-mountainous Ajara, implementing infrastructure projects, road infrastructure, water supply systems, Internet connection, and natural gas.
In 2026, we will have the possibility to establish a new, multifunctional cultural center in Keda Municipality. There are also plans to build a sports center, a children's home, and a kindergarten for 200 children. I'd like to make locals especially happy; in the near future, building a modern stadium is also planned.
These and other critical projects on our agenda today will undoubtedly be implemented. We will have the opportunity to report to the population, and we will hold meetings in each village. We continue to actively strive for the strengthening of mountainous Ajara, the equitable development of all six municipalities,’ stated Zurab Pataradze.
The rehabilitation of the Cultural Center is actively underway in the Keda settlement. After the meeting, Keda Mayor Mamuka Turmanidze informed the Chairman of the Ajara Government about the ongoing works on site.
Within the framework of the project, complete internal and external repair and rehabilitation works of the building will be carried out. The renovated space will unite the Cultural Center, Art School and Library. The building will be fully adapted for individuals with disabilities and will be equipped with modern fire safety, sound and lighting systems. A total of 4,652,040 GEL has been allocated for the rehabilitation works.
The Chairman of the Government of Ajara visited the wine cellar in Keda and noted that winemaking has a special role to strengthen the tourism and economic potential of the municipality. According to Zurab Pataradze, the government will actively continue to support the private sector and local entrepreneurs.
