The Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, alongside the regional Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Denis Salukvadze, attended an official event organized by the Forestry Agency of Ajara.

The Chairman reviewed the Agency’s ongoing activities, evaluated its enhanced operational capabilities, and inspected the specialized technical equipment currently on the institution's balance sheet.

During a meeting with Agency staff, the participants reviewed completed initiatives and discussed strategic plans for the future. The Chairman emphasized the critical importance of effective forest resource management, continuous public engagement, and the reinforcement of preventive measures.

“The forestry sector remains a top priority both nationwide and specifically for our region. The preservation, maintenance, and development of our green cover, coupled with active community dialogue and risk prevention, are paramount responsibilities that the Forestry Agency’s personnel fulfill with dedication. Today, we inspected specialized machinery designed to strengthen monitoring and enhance institutional efficiency. Protecting and cultivating our natural resources is a shared responsibility with the public,” stated Zurab Pataradze.

The event featured addresses from the Chairmen of both the Government and the Supreme Council of Ajara, the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, and the Head of the Forestry Agency, who also delivered a comprehensive presentation on the agency’s achievements.
