The Chairman of the Government of Ajara Meets with The Founder and President of the World Travel Awards Organization

Sulkhan Tamazashvili, The Chairman of the Government of Ajara held an official meeting with Graham Cooke, the Founder and President of the World Travel Awards Organization.

During the meeting, all parties discussed tourism potential of Ajara, current achievements in the sector, and future opportunities for collaboration.

Special attention was paid to new chances to promote Ajara and Batumi on the global tourism map.

Chairman Tamazashvili thanked Graham Cooke for promoting Batumi as an international destination and for his contribution to regional tourist development.

At the meeting, it was noted, that numerous ongoing large-scale projects in Ajara aim at strengthening the region’s reputation not only as a top tourism destination, but also as an attractive investment area.

Tinatin Zoidze, Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara, and Giorgi Tsintsadze, Acting Mayor of Batumi attended the meeting.
