The Chairman of the Government of Ajara holds a working meeting with the employees and leaders of the Kobuleti City Hall and City Council
The Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, held a working meeting with the employees and leaders of the Kobuleti City Hall and City Council, which was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of Ajara and representatives of the regional government structures.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Government noted that Kobuleti has great potential for the development of both tourism and rural tourism, and emphasized the importance of supporting the agricultural sector.
‘As you know, Kobuleti is a very important resort. The municipality has a fantastic opportunity to actively participate in processes during all four seasons. When we talk about the development of the region and tourism, it is necessary that the infrastructure also follows. We covered all of the projects that are currently being undertaken with both local and central government funding. It was a very interesting meeting, and I believe the plans discussed today will benefit Kobuleti's well-being in the future,’ stated Zurab Pataradze.
After the meeting, the Chairman of the Government, together with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara Tsotne Ananidze, inspected the works of a new seaside park in the Kobuleti pine forest and noted that active care will continue for one of the main symbols of Kobuleti - the beautiful coastline and seaside infrastructure.
The first stage of the project's works are nearing completion; a 600-meter section has been transformed into a modern boulevard. After the project is done, a 10-kilometer part of the boulevard along the Kobuleti shoreline will be well-equipped, increasing the municipality's tourism appeal. The work cost 8,335,588 GEL.
