The Chairman of the Government and the Minister of Infrastructure inspect the projects planned in Ajara
Zurab Pataradze, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, together with Revaz Sokhadze, the Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, discussed the ongoing and planned projects in Ajara as well as the prospects of development.
They, along with Tsotne Ananidze, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara, and representatives of the Ajara Government and the Ministry of Infrastructure, toured the Batumi coastline and reviewed the activities planned to upgrade the infrastructure in the coastal area.
The sides discussed road, sports, educational, and urban development issues. They also talked about the rehabilitation of Batumi Boulevard, the renovation of Ardagani Lake, the construction of schools and kindergartens, the development of sports infrastructure, and ongoing urban renewal projects in Batumi. The sides addressed the current large-scale infrastructural projects in Batumi and the highlands of Ajara.
'During our discussion with Georgia's Minister of Infrastructure, we covered all of the region's significant infrastructure projects. We also had in-depth discussions about the development of Batumi Boulevard and coastal infrastructure. We surveyed the Ardagani Lake area, where large-scale rehabilitation works are planned, and we intend to regulate the Magnolia project. At the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the development of educational and sporting infrastructure; the construction of new kindergartens, schools, rugby fields, and multipurpose sports complexes will proceed apace,' said Zurab Pataradze.
It was noted at the meeting that, as a result of the coordinated work of the central and regional authorities, the infrastructural development of Ajara will become even more visible, which will significantly contribute to the economic strengthening of the region and the improvement of the quality of life for the population.
