Tbeloba Public Celebration
The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, accompanied by his family, attended the official events celebrating the traditional public holiday "Tbeloba."
As part of the festivities, a monument dedicated to the prominent Georgian prose writer, hymnographer, scribe, and astronomer, Tbel Abuseridze, was solemnly unveiled in the Khulo municipality. Crafted by sculptor Davit Bolkvadze, the monument has been erected in the newly renovated square of the Khulo township. The site's comprehensive rehabilitation project featured the development of children's entertainment and sports zones, dedicated recreational areas, and extensive landscaping works.
The "Tbeloba" celebrations continued in the village of Khikhadziri, where the Mayor of Khulo Municipality, Vakhtang Beridze, delivered the welcoming address to the gathered guests. Alongside the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, congratulations were extended to the local population by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara, Tsotne Ananidze; Member of the Parliament of Georgia, Anzor Bolkvadze; Member of the Supreme Council of Ajara, Minur Paksadze; Chairman of the Khulo Municipality Sakrebulo, Renar Bolkvadze; and the Archbishop of Skhalta, His Grace Spyridon.
During the official ceremony, the Chairmen of the Government of Ajara and the Supreme Council presented the prestigious St. Tbel Abuseridze Municipal Prize to this year's laureates. Notably, Zurab Pataradze presented the award to Otar Shavadze in recognition of his outstanding and distinguished contributions to the field of architecture within the Khulo Municipality.
The public holiday concluded with a festive concert featuring performances by renowned local ensembles, including "Bermukha," "Khelgashlila," and "Argineti," among other cultural performers. The event was widely attended by senior representatives of the Government of Ajara, the Supreme Council, and local self-government bodies.
