Sulkhan Tamazashvili meets with weightlifters who were successful at the European Weightlifting Championships

 

Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, visited with sportsmen competing in the European Weightlifting Championships and congratulated them.

Four Ajara competitors competed for the national weightlifting squad. The Ajara Sports Department will present cash prizes to the winning athletes and coaches.

The Georgian weightlifting team won nine medals and finished second in the team rankings at the European Championships.
