Sulkhan Tamazashvili meets with the Governor of Artvin Province of the Republic of Turkey

Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, met with Turan Ergun, Governor of the Republic of Turkey's Artvin Province, and Turkish delegation leaders.

The discussion focused on the importance of trade and economic cooperation between the Ajara region and the Artvin Province, as well as priority topics for border region development.

Sulkhan Tamazashvili emphasised Ajara's close neighbourly and cooperative links with the Artvin Province. It was underlined that it is critical to strengthen collaboration in the cultural and educational sectors, as well as to conduct collaborative tourism projects.

At the meeting, the parties indicated their commitment to deepen and strengthen existing cooperation, hence creating new chances for regional growth.
