Sulkhan Tamazashvili awards the winners of subject Olympiads and competitions
Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of Ajara awarded schoolchildren who won subject Olympiads and competitions. 120 winners were announced as winners in Olympiads and contests organized by the Ministry of Education and sports in 2024-2025 academic year.
As Sulkhan Tamazashvili said, it is crucial for every child in the region to have the opportunity to get great education.
‘Education is the foundation of a brighter future for the country. Every youngster should have the opportunity to get a good education. I pledge that my team and I will go to whatever length to achieve this goal. An educated generation builds a peaceful country; I am certain that our children will become the architects of our country and continue the work we have begun - growing the country in a peaceful manner while protecting its values’, - the Chairman noted.
Successful schoolchildren were also awarded by David Gabaidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara; Giorgi Tsintsadze, the Acting Mayor of Batumi and David Batsikadze, chairman of the Committee of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Supreme Council of Ajara.
The Ministry of Education and Sports of Ajara annually holds Olympiads in 6 subjects as well as competitions for elementary and middle school students. About 15 000 students from public and private schools participated in school competitions last year.
