Sulkhan Tamazashvili attends the public holiday of Shuakhevoba

The Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, attended the public holiday of Shuakhevoba.

The Chairman of the Government congratulated the local population on their holiday. In his statement, Sulkhan Tamazashvili stated that the municipality will continue to develop while still retaining its traditions.

‘We must continue to safeguard and build our traditions together. We shall do everything possible to preserve our traditions while also developing and strengthening our municipality. We must fix the existing challenges in the shortest feasible time and create better conditions for each family via unified efforts.’ - noted Sulkhan Tamazashvili.

Museum exhibits, ethnographic samples, decorative corners and traditional cuisine were presented within the framework of the event. A photo exhibition depicting the historical and modern life of Shuakhevi was organized. Various cultural, sports and children's entertainment activities were held.

At the public holiday, the mayor of Shuakhevi, Omar Takidze, awarded honorary Shuakhevi residents. The event ended with a festive concert.

The Shuakhevi holiday was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara, Davit Gabaidze; members of the government; representatives of local self-government; invited guests and the local population.
