Sulkhan Tamazashvili attends a ceremonial event held at the Maritime Academy
A solemn event was held at the Batumi State Maritime Academy for first-year students and distinguished graduates.
The Chairman of the Government of Ajara congratulated the first-year students on their admission and wished the graduates well in their professional pursuits.
According to Sulkhan Tamazashvili, the training of qualified individuals is critical for the development of the maritime sector, and the region will continue to actively promote maritime education.
'Seafaring is a unique job that demands expertise, fortitude, dedication, exceptional discipline, and constant readiness. The expansion of the country's maritime sector necessitates educated and competent staff. That is why we will continue to actively support the maritime sector in the region, first and foremost through maritime education. I am confident that the students of the Maritime Academy will make a valuable contribution to the country's maritime history with the knowledge and professional attitude they have acquired’ – Sulkhan Tamazashvili stated.
The Chairman of the Government inspected the infrastructure of the Batumi Maritime Academy. It is noteworthy that the Academy has implemented practical training of international standards, which ensures the further professional development of students.
