Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze inspects the implemented and planned infrastructure works at Batumi International Airport

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, together with the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara Sulkhan Tamazashvili and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, got acquainted with the implemented and ongoing infrastructure works at Batumi International Airport.

The General Manager of TAV Georgia, a member of the ADP Group, which manages the Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, provided the Head of Government with detailed information about the implemented and planned projects. According to Tea Zakaradze, this year the rehabilitation of the runway at Batumi International Airport was completed, the number of aircraft stands was doubled, and the company also purchased new equipment.

In order to increase the throughput of passenger traffic, it is planned to expand the passenger arrival zone and the passport control zone in the departure area this year.

The company has invested 25 million GEL in infrastructure works over the past year.
