Healthcare Forum held in Ajara

The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, attended the Healthcare Forum and addressed the representatives of the medical field. The event was organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Ajara.

The Chairman of the Government thanked the representatives of the healthcare field for their selfless work, contribution to the development of the system and for each life saved.

'Our citizens' health is the state's most valuable asset and the foundation for the country's steady progress. Healthcare has always been and will continue to be one of the government's top objectives. I am glad that the Ajara government offers a variety of healthcare initiatives, with the number of recipients growing year after year. It is critical that all residents of the region have access to a high-quality, modern healthcare system. This is possible thanks to your cooperation, professionalism, and the public's support. Thank you to each of you for your selfless labour, commitment to the development of the healthcare sector, and each life saved," Sulkhan Tamazashvili stated.

Nino Nizharadze, Minister of Healthcare of Ajara, introduced the current programs and innovations of the Ministry to the forum participants. Starting from 2026, the programs will be expanded in the field of healthcare and social protection.

The Healthcare Forum was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara, David Gabaidze; members of the Georgian Parliament and representatives of the Ajara Government.
