'First and foremost, I'd want to congratulate the entire Georgia on Family Purity Day. Today is a day of celebration throughout Georgia. This day is dedicated to the virtues that have sustained Georgian society for centuries: traditions, love, mutual respect, generosity, and culture. This is a day that emphasises the importance of intergenerational relationships, family togetherness, and instilling positive values in youngsters. Each of us values and relies on our family the most. Strong families are the foundation of a great society and country,” - the Chairman stated.

The solemn procession ended at the Batumi Liberation Heroes Memorial, where clergy performed a funeral service.

The Family Purity Day was established with the blessing of His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, and plays a special role in strengthening family values, traditions, and national identity.
