Eighteen Modern Buses added to the Batumi and Kobuleti Bus Fleet
Eighteen new, modern buses have been added to the Batumi and Kobuleti bus fleet.
Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, together with the heads of local self-governments, inspected the new buses.
Sulkhan Tamazashvili stated that the development of public transport in the region is one of the government's goals.
‘Public transport development in Ajara is our priority. For this reason, Batumi and Kobuleti bus fleets were added 18 new buses of modern standards. The updated fleet will provide more comfortable and safe transportation for our citizens. Generally, transport system development is a part of our long term development strategy. Infrastructure will be also updated gradually and we will provide the whole region with a modern municipal transport’ – chairman of the Government said.
Within the framework of the project, the Batumi bus fleet was updated with ten 12-meter buses. Each of them provides services for up to 110 passengers at a time. The Kobuleti municipal bus fleet was expended with 8 buses built for 32 passengers.
