During his visit to the Republic of Türkiye, the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, accompanied by members of his delegation, met with the Governor of Trabzon Province

Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, met with Tahir Şahin, the Governor of Trabzon Province, as part of his visit to the Republic of Türkiye.

The parties discussed new opportunities for regional cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye. It was noted that the high-level political dialogue between the leaders of the two countries creates a solid foundation for expanding economic ties.

Discussions aimed at intensifying contacts between the business communities of Ajara and Trabzon highlighted the need to regularly hold business forums and investment-related activities. It was noted that such large-scale platforms would provide opportunities for direct meetings between companies, the showcasing of investment potential, and the discussion of joint projects. Zurab Pataradze thanked representatives of the diplomatic missions of Georgia and Türkiye for their contribution to the development of bilateral relations. He also highlighted the role of Türkiye’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) in strengthening business ties between Georgian and Turkish business communities.

The Ajara government delegation included Ednar Nataridze, Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara; Denis Salukvadze, Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection; and Giorgi Tsintsadze, Mayor of Batumi; as well as Osman Çalışkan-Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the DEİK Turkey-Georgia Business Council, and representatives of the business community.
