As part of the ceremony, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, the founders of Archi and Next, and the Vice President of Operations at Accor addressed the audience.
The large-scale investment project will bring modern tourism, residential, and recreational infrastructure to the Kobuleti resort area. According to Zurab Pataradze, projects of this scale contribute significantly to economic growth, job creation, and the development of the region’s tourism sector.
‘Today, we are launching a large-scale multifunctional project in Kobuleti. When discussing investment, economic diversification remains one of our key priorities. This project is of great importance both for our region and for the country as a whole.
An investment of this scale means new jobs, increased economic activity, and additional opportunities for Kobuleti and Georgia. It is encouraging to see Ajara becoming increasingly attractive to international investors, and we stand ready to cooperate closely with each of them,’ said Zurab Pataradze.
The total value of the investment project is estimated at up to USD 300 million. The development will include hotel, conference, sports, wellness, and recreational facilities.
The architectural concept of the hotel and residential complex was developed by the Madrid office of Chapman Taylor. The project will operate under the international Swissôtel brand. Swissôtel, part of Accor, is a global hotel brand with more than 40 properties across over 20 countries.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, and the investors placed a symbolic capsule in the foundation, marking the official start of construction.
