Chairman of the Government of Ajara Zurab Pataradze meets with the champion teams of Batumi sports clubs

Zurab Pataradze, the chairman of the Government of Ajara met with the champion team members and coaches of Basketball, rugby and handball.  

Tsotne Ananidze, the chairman of the Suprem Council of Ajara; Maia Khajishvili, the minister of education and sports of Ajara; Giorgi Tsintsadze, the mayor of Batumi and the chairman of Batumi municipality city council attended the meeting.

As the decision of the government of Ajara, the following sports clubs of Batumi city hall: rugby club “Batumi”, basketball club “Batumi 2010” and hanball club “BSB Batumi” were given one-time cash awards for outstanding results and achievements.

In his welcoming speech, Zurab Pataradze emphasized that winning the Georgian Champion titles is the result of many years of hard work by athletes and coaches and is an important incentive for young people to actively engage in sports life.  

According to the Chairman of the Government, creating decent conditions for athletes and developing modern sports infrastructure in the region remains one of the top priorities. For this reason, the construction, renovation and rehabilitation of various sports facilities is actively underway throughout Ajara.
