Chairman of the Government of Ajara Welcomes Caspian Energy Club Leadership to Discuss Strategic Economic Cooperation

The Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, convened an official bilateral meeting with Telman Aliyev, Chairman of the Caspian Energy Club, to discuss expanding regional economic ties.

 

The discussion centered on deepening trade and economic cooperation, fostering new business networks, and expanding investment avenues within the framework of the enduring strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

 

The Chairman emphasized that Ajara remains a highly competitive investment hub, distinguished by its business-friendly regulatory framework, strategic geographical location, developed transport infrastructure, and robust tourism sector. He noted that high-level bilateral visits are instrumental in establishing new commercial partnerships and accelerating trade turnover.

 

"Our region continues to attract substantial and growing interest from international business leaders," stated Chairman Zurab Pataradze. "Today, we hosted a distinguished Azerbaijani delegation whose members highly commended the flexibility of Georgian legislation, our transparent business climate, and the region's diverse investment potential. I am confident that today’s engagement will further solidify economic relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, enhance cooperation between our corporate sectors, boost bilateral trade volumes, and catalyze new capital inflows. Ajara provides all the essential prerequisites for secure investments and highly successful business operations," the Chairman concluded.

 

The Caspian Energy Club is currently organizing the international business mission, the "Grand CEO Tour," in Batumi from September 2–5. The high-profile initiative aims to deepen international cooperation, forge new cross-border partnerships, and advance regional investment and trade relations. The Club maintains an active presence in Georgia, uniting leading executives from the energy, construction, real estate development, banking, finance, logistics, transport, information technology, and tourism sectors.

 

The official meeting was also attended by Jaba Surmanidze, Head of the Ajara Government Staff; Gocha Jashi, Head of the Administration of the Chairman of the Government; Fuad Azizov, Consul of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi; and senior delegates from the Caspian Energy Club.
