Chairman of the Government of Ajara Highlights Goderdzi Resort’s Strategic Investment Potential at Inaugural Business Forum

The high-level Investment Conference was successfully convened at the Goderdzi resort, aiming to attract new capital and deepen private sector engagement in developing Goderdzi into a premier, four-season sustainable destination.

 

During the business forum, the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Zurab Pataradze, emphasized the critical importance of unlocking the full potential of the Ajara highlands through robust trilateral cooperation between the state, the business community, and the banking sector. The Chairman noted that Goderdzi is systematically transforming into a modern, full-fledged year-round resort, backed by robust infrastructure that creates a highly attractive environment for new investment projects in the region.

 

"Mountainous Ajara, along with our region's broader potential and opportunities, is generating unprecedented interest from visitors, investors, and business sector leaders," stated Chairman Zurab Pataradze. "In response to this growing momentum, we are hosting the first-ever investment forum directly at the Goderdzi resort. The event brings together approximately 70 distinguished guests, including investors from neighboring countries and key business executives. This platform allows us to directly showcase the tourism and investment capabilities of mountainous Ajara and the Goderdzi resort specifically.

 

Currently, 9 hotel complexes are fully operational at Goderdzi, with the construction of up to 20 additional hotel developments planned for the near future. I am confident that today’s forum will significantly accelerate capital attraction, stimulate business interest, boost visitor inflows, and ultimately drive the long-term prosperity and success of mountainous Ajara," the Chairman concluded.

 

The forum was also addressed by prominent industry leaders, including Giorgi Tkhelidze, General Director of TBC Bank; Ednar Nataridze, Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara; and Irina Kvakhadze, Senior Vice President of TBC Capital.

 

As part of the official program, senior representatives from the Government of Ajara delivered comprehensive presentations outlining the resort’s master development vision and specific investment pipelines. Concurrently, the TBC executive team briefed investors on Georgia and Ajara’s macroeconomic dynamics, key economic sectors, and the targeted development blueprints for the Goderdzi resort territory.The landmark event was attended by senior members of the legislative and executive authorities of Ajara, members of the Parliament of Georgia, and leadership figures from local self-governments.
