Chairman of the Government of Ajara and Minister of Education Inaugurate Modern New Facility at Makhinjauri Public School

Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara, alongside Givi Mikanadze, Georgia's Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, officially inaugurated a newly constructed building extension at the Makhinjauri Public School in the Khelvachauri Municipality. Following the opening ceremony, the officials toured the upgraded school facilities and extended their congratulations to the students and teaching staff on commencing the new academic year in a state-of-the-art educational environment.

The newly developed infrastructure was also inspected by Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth; Maia Khajishvili, Minister of Education, Culture, and Sport of Ajara; and key representatives of the local government.

Executed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport of Ajara at a total project cost of 2,500,000 GEL, the infrastructure project delivered a modern, three-story facility with a capacity to accommodate 400 students. The building features an indoor sports hall and is fully optimized for universal accessibility, incorporating an elevator, accessible restrooms, and entrance ramps for persons with disabilities.

To build upon this infrastructural development, the next phase of the project involves the demolition of the school's legacy building to clear the way for a brand-new, main school building. This upcoming facility will house modern classrooms, a comprehensive library, a spacious assembly hall, advanced science laboratories, and various other functional administrative spaces.
