Batumi hosts International Black Sea Art Festival
Batumi is hosting the International Black Sea Art Festival. The event's opening ceremony was attended by the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili, and the Chairman of the Governmtent of Ajara Sulkhan Tamazashvili.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Government emphasized the importance of supporting such events, which create new opportunities in the region and promote cultural growth.
‘The Ajara region has traditionally been a hub of diversity and cultural inventiveness. It is especially crucial that we support events that enhance our country's and region's cultural image while also creating new chances. I am confident that international festivals and events will strengthen our region's position as an important cultural center’ – Sulkhan Tamazashvili stated.
The Lira Charity Foundation organizes the festival, which is under the auspices of Georgia's President and UNESCO. The foundation was founded by Eliso Bolkvadze, Ajara's Minister of Culture.
For five days, Batumi transforms into a hub of varied creative activity. The festival brings together the world's finest classical music luminaries and serves as a vital forum for the discovery of emerging musicians.
