At today's Ajara Government session, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of Ajara summarised the recently implemented programs and initiatives.
Sulkhan Tamazashvili emphasised Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's visit to Ajara. He stated that in the last month, a lot of initiatives in the region were finished, some of which he visited with the Prime Minister.
In September, five newly rehabilitated schools opened in Khulo, Kobuleti, and Khelvachauri municipalities. Batumi now has two additional recreational spaces, while Kobuleti's three new squares have been fully renovated.
The implementation of social projects and programs is now happening in the region. Construction is now underway in three places as part of the Batumi Without Dilapidated Houses Program. After the renovation is completed, 570 families will receive well-equipped apartments. In addition, the construction of a communal housing for eco-migrant families in Khelvachauri is complete, and the commissioning process is underway.
The Chairman of the Government also summarized the tourist season, noting that the region is experiencing encouraging developments in this regard, with a 10% increase in the number of tourists.
Sulkhan Tamazashvili, in September, while assessing the problems created as a result of heavy rainfall, stated that all appropriate measures have been taken and the main liquidation works have been completed.
The government session also examined the Ajara Ministry of Health's nine-month report. It is noteworthy that during this period, medical services worth up to 57 million GEL have been financed and up to 50,000 beneficiaries have received appropriate assistance.
Furthermore, about 17 million GEL were granted from the Ajara Government's republican budget reserve fund for health and social security, as well as for disaster-affected households.
According to Sulkhan Tamazashvili, all of this demonstrates that the Ajara government is striving for the country's prosperity and the well-being of its people.
‘Our work is based on actions rather than words and promises - on the country's speedy progress and a brighter future for its residents. I am convinced that on October 4, the people will choose more progress and living in a peaceful country. No one can stop Georgia's progress and strengthening if we stand together,’ - stated Sulkhan Tamazashvili.
